Bellevue Arts Museum resumes pre-pandemic operating hours, launches summer exhibitions

Bellevue Arts Museum

Bellevue, WA—Bellevue Arts Museum has expanded its hours in order to give more community members an opportunity to visit the Museum. The building will now be open Wednesdays – Sundays from 11am – 5pm. This schedule update marks a return to BAM’s normal operating hours for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent public safety measures in Washington State. Visitors are no longer required to book a time slot in advance. Masks are required for all guests.

Alden Mason

Alden Mason: Fly Your Own Thing is the first comprehensive museum exhibition for Northwest artist Alden Mason since his passing in 2013. Mason was a prolific painter whose exuberance and inventiveness in form, color, and style helped pave the way to midcentury modernist art in the Pacific Northwest.

Tip Toland

Tip Toland: Empathy in Clay presents a selection of both new and older works from ceramic artist Tip Toland, highlighting her unique ability to capture vulnerable human moments in clay.

Trace

Trace: Terri Grant & Purnima Patel features innovative new glass works from artists Terri Grant and Purnima Patel. The exhibition draws inspiration from the many meanings of the word trace.

Bellwether 2021
Bellevue Arts Museum is thrilled to be a venue for this year's Bellwether Arts Festival in Bellevue. Keep an eye out for details regarding public programs and artwork in the Museum's Community Education Gallery and Forum Space. Learn more »

Public Programs 
In-person programs—including Free First Friday—and docent-led tours are on hold until further notice. Look out for new virtual programs and additional no-contact kids craft kit pickup events outside the Museum in the coming months.

3D Tours 
BAM will continue to provide 3D tours of the Museum’s current exhibitions for those unable to visit in person. The tour for Alden Mason: Fly Your Own Thing is available on the Museum’s website. A new tour exploring the Museum’s new second-floor exhibitions will launch next month.
