In this continuing pandemic they understand that their works represent, individually and collectively, a true signal that ‘art is not cancelled’; that creatives are important to bringing people together and that supporting arts nonprofits takes intense purpose and brilliance.
Lisa Myers Bulmash, a pre-eminent Creative, holds and explores untold narratives woven throughout her work in magical terms. “As a visual artist, I am obsessed with joining elements that seem to have no relationship to each other. As an artist parent, I am driven to spotlight the contradictory narratives in American society that marginalize the most vulnerable.” Learn More
David Clay, a fierce figurative Artist, reexamines the figure as past, present and possibility. His work harkens to the historical figurative journeys in paint. He says that “The figures, distorted and abstracted with atmospheric textures, define their own identities and boundaries between realized subject and emotional space.” Learn More
Jody Joldersma, a consummate Maker of line as delineation of time and space. She pushes the viewer into a world of feminism and nature. “I create visual narratives inspired by growing up caught between a collapsing conservative steel town and the rural escapism of my grandparents’ farm in the coal mountains of central PA”. Join these three artists from September 13–18 as they move from a Creative’s ideation to a cognitive consciousness that actually connects new dimensional options to the viewer.
It’s a Marathon for each of us as we chart our journeys in, for, about and through the arts.
