Jeff Mihalyo: PAST & PRESENT
Capitol Hill Artwalk Reception Thursday, July 9, 5-9pm

Show runs through 8/3/26

Jeff Mihalyo exhibits an evolutionary review of his painting career at Vermillion in July 2026. These artworks span decades and include his latest creations.
Each movement in his artistic vocabulary demonstrate curiosity in the medium and aesthetic approaches.  The presentation is a unique survey of the artists creative range and technical prowess.

About Jeff Mihalyo:
Pacific Northwest artist Jeff Mihalyo is a world-builder. Educated at Otis/Parsons in Los Angeles, his forty-year career spans the media, entertainment, and fine art industries. A versatile artist, Mihalyo has designed for giants like Microsoft, Disney, DreamWorks, and Jim Henson Studios, while leaving a mark on major cultural movements, from the 1980s LA surf/skate scene to the 1990s Seattle grunge era.

His multi-disciplinary expertise spans award-winning public art installations, large-scale restoration projects, and acclaimed fine art. Mihalyo’s paintings and scanography have been exhibited globally, including features at the Beijing and Santorini Biennales, with exhibitions spanning Berlin, Moscow, and beyond. Rooted in an intense curiosity about art history and the human condition, Mihalyo’s sold-out solo exhibitions—inspired by his travels through Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, and China—are held in private collections worldwide.

Artist Statement:
I create medium and large-scale, immersive oil paintings that command a room and anchor your space. By weaving together poetic narratives and philosophical balance, each artwork becomes an open-ended psychological journey that reveals new secrets to the viewer over time.

I do not paint to provide answers; I paint to invite a lifelong conversation that is crafted for sophisticated and discerning eyes. My work offers an evolving visual experience allowing you to bring a striking narrative and an ongoing intellectual communion into your collection.

Our Mission: Established in 2008, Vermillion is a hybrid art gallery, performance space and bar, located in the bustling Pike/Pine neighborhood of Capitol Hill in Seattle. Our goal is to showcase writers, musicians, and artists of all genres who are at the emerging stages of their careers, as well as honor legacy builders and other creatives in an informal setting that brings all-walks together. We provide the culture and appeal of an art opening every night.  We feel art and cultural expression bind diversified groups to support personal growth, community involvement and self-preservation.
